After an exciting (and wet) British Grand Prix we’re in Spa, another proper circuit. Lots of fast corners and lots of ways to have a monumental accident, particularly if it’s wet. It’s a Sprint weekend, so teams will have little time to set the cars up on the longest circuit they visit.
There will be lots to talk about- will Lando make it 3 in a row, will Ferrari’s new rear suspension make a difference and how will Red Bull do without Horner? I’ll be interested if Lawson can keep up his improvement and if Colapinto can start to perform- he clearly has talent.
The circuit could be designed for McLaren, so they will probably disappear like Silverstone. Pirelli are bringing an interesting tyre selection- C1, then C3 and C4 - that could spice things up a bit.
Here’s to a great race. Lando for the win!
Date(s): Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 Junly2025.
UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)
All sessions are live on Sky F1. Channel 4 is showing highlights of all competitive sessions.

Thanks, PiaP, as ever. Great to be back racing.
This season has been exciting, with some memorable racing, and not only because of the dominance of McLaren. Silverstone was a thriller.
It's hard to see beyond a McL double unless the pair indulge in an internecine battle and take one, or both, out.
Seems such a long time since the British.

Good to be back, and at another great circuit.
Hopefully the use of the C3 medium tyres moves the race towards a two-stop, and we might even see a stop in the Sprint. Suspect that McLaren will dominate, but other teams are all bringing significant upgrades to this weekend.
Right, time to watch the rugby.

Thanks Piap
Agree McLarens should disappear, but hoping for Hamilton revival drive.
Interesting what the RBR whinge volume will be should George and Max touch after Horney has been relieved of duty.
Unintentional I'm sure. If not, seek help!!

It’s going to be weird without Christian Horner being in charge of Red Bull and not sitting on the Red Bull pit wall.
The last race without Christian Horner in F1 was the 2004 Brazilian Grand Prix on the 24th October 2004!
I’m slightly more optimistic as a Ferrari fan this weekend as I hear they have finally sorted their rear suspension problems which should show their true pace, much closer to the McLarens.
But this being Ferrari, the strategy team have always got a chance of screwing things up…

This being Ferrari there is an equal chance they will put the rear suspension on the front in error....
I used to work for a car mechanic of a weekend. He sent me to someone who'd had problems building his Lotus 7. I thought it might be a test, but the mechanic did not want to waste his time. The builder had put the front suspension on upside down. It's not as if the problem was obscure. I expect he had a stint with Ferrari.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
