I went last year for the first time and yes, I did enjoy seeing cars that I'd never seen before and in a lovely setting.
This year I know a lot of people who aren't going due to the year £10 increase. It's not that they can't afford it, but more so the principal. I have friends with quite unique air cooled cars that have to pay full price to attend yet it's attendees that make up 90% of the show. Every time I go onto Instagram, I'm bombarded with ads for it. I think there's a few more with similar thoughts to the above.
I'm sure it will still be great.

I think it's like Vegas, you might go once to see what it's like but you probably wouldn't go again.
However, this year I think we will go again because there are a few cars that I've heard will be there and I want to see them, plus I also could do with a word with the chaps at Autofarm and it's always better to catch them in person rather than on the phone, so I'm hoping they'll be milling about.
If you haven't been then it's a nice day out, stay over locally and make a nice short break out of it, I think that's what we'll do, if you see a 930 with a Gemballa spoiler say hi

Went in 2019 (it's first year ?) and wouldn't go again, firstly due to the current ticket prices, but also the whole "watercooled car owners get different "privileges" to aircooled car owners" (fair enough, his show, his rules) not sure if the format is the same as it was 6 years ago, but if it is, it seems a bit churlish. However, this year I think we will go again because there are a few cars that I've heard will be there and I want to see them, plus I also could do with a word with the chaps at Autofarm and it's always better to catch them in person rather than on the phone, so I'm hoping they'll be milling about.

From what I could see, Rennsport Reunion doesn't do the same ?
We went last year and concluded if you didn't have an air cooled Porsche you weren't the target audience. It took us over an hour to get in (the queues went back to the A34) and the car park for non air-cooled cars was a field that hadn't been mowed for a while.
There were a few trade stalls and some food venues and a huge stage with one guy playing club music thumping out most of the day which seemed a bit odd considering most of the attendees appeared to be white men in their 50s-60s. Perhaps I'm stereo typing but all my friends who we met there had the same thoughts.
Having said that there were some fantastic cars on display and we enjoyed seeing those but at £90 for 2 to get in there are far better ways to spend your money.

In all fairness though us air-cooled owners are a cut above, so we wouldn't want to mix with riff-raff or drink working class blended Champagne or anything. From what I could see, Rennsport Reunion doesn't do the same ?
We have a special hospitality area, with free girls, drinks and caviar

Personally I wouldn't allow admittance to ANY car into ANY area if it were fitted with Gemballa accessories. But that's just me We have a special hospitality area, with free girls, drinks and caviar

If there's free girls, does that mean SWMBO won't be attending

The majority of the worlds caviar is now contaminated, if it doesn't poison you, I hope you choke on it when your other half decides to make a surprise appearance

Enjoy sitting in that queue all the way back up the A34, I hope your head studs fail, your wastegate sticks shut and your rocker cover gaskets leak oil all over your exhaust manifolds.
Bonne chance

Next year we can be best mates when you turn up in your 996 RS and slum it with the rest of us watercooled heathens

I'll let you into a secret, I also think it's not the best looking thing to be honest, from some angles it looks nice, but there was no way I could turn down the opportunity to have a genuine 1980's Gemballa spoiler fitted to my 930. I've got the original one still, but the car is being flown out to Dubai at the end of August and lots of people want to see it, I'm hoping some crazy billionaire offers me an insane amount of money for it because the guy who used to work with Uwe Gemballa out here said he's looked into it and he thinks it's literally the only one like that in the world.
I don't ever want to sell it, but if I get offered over £500k for it (and crazier things have happened out here) then its gone.
But back to Megaphonics, if it's a nice day then it's a nice walk around some nice cars, but I think Frank is taking the Micky a bit with the entry fee.

Prices are pitched higher than most to keep audience numbers down. At £40 a pop, it s too expensive for me, as Porsche at the Lakes was a tenner and a Porsche in the a park (St Albans tomorrow) is £13.50 (with discount) and closer to me.
Why do they want less people there?Or is it the type of people they want there? I don't want to say anything personally about a person behind their back, I never say anything that I wouldn't say to their face, but knowing some of the people involved I do actually think that they don't want people turning up in tracksuit bottoms in a £3k Boxster, so maybe they tried to price those people out of coming.
I went last year and loved it, lots of interesting / rare road and race cars, I’m not sure I understand the comments on costs either, it must be a huge logistic effort to get all of these cars in the same place.
Ticket for this year bought and put away somewhere safe, just got to remember where I put it!
