Hello Everyone,

Apologies in advance for bringing this one back up again, but I've got a 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Convertible with 48Kmi (Toro Red with Tan) with some issues. The car appears to be having the tracker issues mentioned in other forums, but getting some answers in the USA has been nearly impossible. My Aston Dealer (I live in Park City, Utah) in Utah seems completely clueless. The car has been having the issue where the instrument cluster stops working along with the audio system and the other electronic functions in the car (car top, passenger window, etc...). I have found that the car is still drivable and signals work silently. After I leave the battery disconnected for an hour everything comes back to life like normal.

Do you all have any idea about US based resources that could help me with either disabling the tracker or replacing it with a new one that could just be a plug and play without involving the dealer who apparently doesn't understand this issue at all? I tried our independent mechanics here and they are clueless as well.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!!

Highly unlikely you have a tracker in your car.

More likely that your convertible roof module is acting up. Your symptoms are typical of a failing CRM.

Thanks for the input. I thought it could possibly be that module, but with everything matching exactly to what has been experienced with the tracker module that is where my thought process went. I haven't seen a posting with a CRM issue that matches what I'm experiencing. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be appreciative!

To add to my post above, more specifically, this seems to be systemic and effects the cars locking system, the instrument cluster does not work and shows ABS, and Airbag warning, the audio system doesn't work, top won't activate. Items that will turn on: Driver's window, car hesitates to start (takes a couple attempts, then turns on after cycling the key a couple times), headlights and taillights work, the turn signals work silently with no indication of operation on the instrument cluster, climate control works. I replaced the battery this week and the issue disappeared for a few days but then came back.
