P0153 fault code?

Ford Focus 2006 1.6 Petrol, engine light came on diagnosed with a fault code P0153 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 2 Sensor 1. Should I just start off replacing the sensor or maybe cleaning it up & has anyone experienced this fault before & what was the cause/solution?

You might want to read that again - a 1.6 focus doesn t have a bank2!

It's true on both counts, the code says bank 2, a second bank will only happen on a v engine, or engine with a twin exhaust system. So a 1.6 focus will only have a bank 1.

Some 1.6 focus have a funky 4 branch manifold type thing. Is it a vvt engine?
They come 4 into 2 then into 1 after cat.
