Have people had their £££ from the takeover of IDS plc (aka Royal Mail)?

I had the minimum 227 shares and received £819 a few weeks ago but my eldest hasn't. I was just wondering if it's some kind of phased payment.

If all the payouts have been made who do we need to speak to to get our payment?

Received both ours middle of May, this was through Equiniti who held the shares.

Not sure that helps, may be worth giving who held your sons shares a call.

Thanks both

It looks like payments are not all being sent out at the same time (I got mine in June)

I assume everybody gets paid and it's not just a subset of shareholders?

I got a cheque in May (?), someone else got theirs a bit later.

And someone else just got a letter reminding them they hadn't taken the payment (cashed the cheque?) but I'm not sure if they'd actually got one yet! Slightly vague on what's happening there.

Sorry to jump on this.

My wife and I have the original 227 holding. I forgot to update the address when we moved 3 years ago.

I don't particularly want to sell the shares, but equally if they've been sold due to any failure on my part then fair enough. I've collected some post from my old house and I have about 20 letters that they've sent me, some of which were by registered post.

I cannot be bothered for tonight to look at all the letters. Perhaps tomorrow when I update the address

In the meantime what happens on the basis we didn't accept the offer and still retain the shares? An idiots guide please if poss.

No choice, it's a buyout so your mail will hopefully contain a cheque.

I'm not sure that it would because for annoying reasons not worth going over I have the physical share certificates. That said I have most of them but prob not all of them.

How much of a ball ache is this going to be to resolve if I don't have all the share certs and how badly will they try and shaft me to replace them?

Ok so I've opened the post.

My wife and I have 4 cheques.

Both of us have a cheque for £28.72 which is a dividend confirmation

Both of us also have a cheque for £2.45 which was a cash residue.

No sign of any other cheques.

Shall I keep quiet and hope the dough turns up at the old house and grab the letter or shall I expose myself to a potential world of pain and try and resolve it?

@pperch- have you been getting the dividends into your bank account? If so you should probably get the share sale money directly paid in as well

No they've been reinvested. No electronic account it's all been done over paper which I'm hindsight was obviously a massive mistake but it is what it is.
