Hi all.

I have a very broken 2019 Honda NSX.

Can anyone point me in the direction of anyone that can perform miracles?

I had a rather bad accident in 2021 where I span and hit Armco, at around 50mph. The insurance company did not pay out on the vehicle due to a bald rear tyre. Yes, I know, I'm an idiot. I did fight it with ombudsman, but they sided with the insurance company.

I was injured badly in the accident. Still affected to this day. Ive buried my head in the sand about it, and not done anything with it. Mentally I couldn't deal with it. Its been a tough one if I'm honest, but its only a car and I'm still here

I must try an do something with the car as I cant just leave it to rot.

If anyone can point me in the right direction to someone that might take on a project like this, Id be forever grateful

Thanks for reading

It could get expensive, and it might take some time, but is it worth contacting the workshop at Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford?

Surely this is a candidate for CarSOS, the TV show, no?

He just needs to feign ignorance and get a family member to organise it.

If you want to sell it the salvage rebuilds youtube channel may be interested in it.

I don't think anyone can advise you without a bit more than "very broken"

How broken is broken?

Maybe drop Matt Armstrong a message. It’d be a slight change to his modern supercar rebuilds.

Hope you are on the mend.

With regards the NSX, list it on collecting cars or Ebay, exactly as is, loads of people love a project and will pay handsomely for one.
Most important thing, take action ASAP, it sitting doing nothing for four years is costing you money.

Unless you willing to commission a top bodyshop it will not be worth the risk of taking on the repair yourself.

It had three wheels for a little while. I did start a repair on it, but they were a bit crap. It is now at least rolling.

Need pics.

These are pretty valuable cars now and if the insurance wouldn't play ball then it won't be recorded as a write off. Could well be worth spending decent money on ensuring it's done properly and original once finished. If it's beyond repair then it'll probably yield a lot of fairly valuable parts.

It's a 2019 model hybrid- I'd start with Hondas reccomended bodyshop

Fair play, must be tough to go through all that and still approach the car with it's / your ownership future in mind.
They're rare things, I for one find them freaking cool.

I'd start by contacting these two firms (with way more information than you've provided here, for any hope of useful help):

https://www.nortonway.com/honda/nsx/
https://www.nsxuk.com/

And I half expect theres hot Honda specific, if not NSX specific forums you can introduce yourself and the car to, for some feedback and guidance.

Time sitting 'rotting', their complex nature, parts availability etc.. you don't need a miracle but you will probably need deep pockets and patience..

I suspect this could quickly become a toss up between spending a 'not-economically viable' sum or replacing with a working model / something else. Depends how attached you are, and how long it will likely take to see through, I suppose.
If largely superficial, not a biiiig deal really - again the lack of specifics isn't helpful when looking for help.

As an aside, when dealing with people with this project in mind, I'd try to steer away from the personal specifics and emotive bits, so you'll be taken in a professional capacity and not fleeced or taken for a ride. This approach can obviously be relaxed if you pursue the route of Car SOS type folks who no doubt relish in the storytelling and 'human' aspect.

I also think, perhaps selfishly, it could be cool to generate some interest on here via a Readers Ride thread - you never know, the right PHers could see it and boom - you're on your way to driving it again as you sound like you really want to.
