You'll be lucky to find a 200 in the UK, not sure they were ever even sold here.
Seen a few 125 in a rough state selling for what I'd consider an unreasonably high price.
Both these and the van van do have a bit of a cult following though.
Psssst, Bob is in Canadialand...... the 200 is all you get here Seen a few 125 in a rough state selling for what I'd consider an unreasonably high price.

I don't think this would be fast enough, plus it looks a bit too scootery.
Yeah, they're not cheap, but you can pick up a brand new TW200 here (Canada): https://www.yamaha-motor.ca/en/road/motorcycle/dua...
Agreed Steve, it just looks like good slow fun. Plus it is probably bulletproof.

Yes, they got them on a deal from Yamaha but they took the abuse from the weekly learners in their stride, needed next to no maintenance other than occasional oil changes and an air filter clean and having bars and pegs bashed straight from the umpteenth low speed drop in the training park. Obviously their size, tyres and power can be a limitation on the open road but
I think for the wife to potter around the usual open, sandy/loamy trail type terrain with you, you'd be hard pressed to do better.
