Non power steering column

As per the title, I'm sure the upper universal joint in my cars steering column is worn and has slack.
whats it like on a scale of 1 (easyish) to 10 (nightmare and wish you'd never had the idea) to change?
If I'm going to do it, I'll change both upper and lower uj's.
I'm aware both are different sizes.
