Hi All,

I just bought a 2018 Vanquish S in auction and am very excited. I have admired the looks of Vanquish Sfor so long and am happy to finally own an Aston.

I am considering the following upgrades:
- Lowering Springs (velocity ap) and possibly spacers. Is a scrape plate needed to protect front splitter?
- Painting exterior to a dark metallic grey via peelable paint
- Android auto if the car doesnt already support it.
- Possibly reupholstering the seats and door trims

I am based in Dubai and have good comapnies that can do peelable paint matching any colour and also do great upholstery work, all at great prices.

I would just drive it for a bit. Matt Becker sprinkled his magic dust on the Vanquish S. I’m dubious Velocity AP can improve on that.

The Android Auto is perhaps worth doing immediately, but only if the car doesn’t have it already. Have you checked?

I am in love with these two colours can you help me with which colours they are please?

I am thinking of one of these for the colour change as I dont want to go too dark and not have enough contrast with all the carbon on the exterior.

I love a large amount of metallic in the paint.

Hi BlackTails,
Thabks for chiming in.

I am away from the car until I return from summer holidays. I have the vin. Is there a site or service that will confirm the options?

If it’s a 2018, it will have carplay/android auto.

The top colour looks like Scintilla silver, which you’ll never replicate with a wrap. It’s probably AM’s most complex colour; you’d need to do full respray to get that.

The second may be Quantum silver. Not sure. There are lots of very similar colours around that zone.

Ok thanks! Very helpful!

I would not do a wrap. It would be custom respray with peelable paint.

This is one idea I had for the interior

a 2018 Vanq S will be fitted with AMi III so all it needs to get carplay and android auto is a firmware upgrade to the final version, which should take your dealer only a few mins to do. Most used to do it for free, but things have changed over the last few years. either way keep the car original rather than aftermarket mods to do the same thing.

If you bought the car from an AM main dealer, ask them to do it before you take delivery.

Hi i saw your post on 6speed, I'm in Dubai as well also just picked up a ultra low km minty V8, it belonged to ruling family of Ajman. I was thinking of doing VAP Springs also but i think im just going to do BC Racing coil overs as i find the oem shocks too stiff and its also 13+ years old.

For Peelable Paint try Peel Master Auto Detailing @peelmaster.ae i met them at Specktrum earlier this year and spoke to the owner, looked like 10/10 work.

For Carplay/Android Auto I'm going with UAD's system its plug and play direct into the Garmin System in the trunk so no need to take the dash apart https://unique-ad.co.uk/product-category/aston-mar...

And reupholstering as you know Dubai there are a million of these shops but my buddy just had his Nissan GT-R fully redone and work is amazing, ill ask him and give you the shop details
