I picked up this little pickle a week ago. He’s been almost literally glued to me since. My other 5 cats are being in different to him as you’d expect and they’re getting plenty of attention though.

I wanted a Maine coon for so long.

Beautiful. My wife really wants a Maine Coon; we do have 11 cats already, 5 of which are munchkins, so while I’d be intrigued to see how they get on it would tower over the existing brood. I’d be very interested to see how yours integrates.

He is 14 and a half weeks now. I think he will grow to a good size but not expecting him to be huge. Still cannot agree on a name.

He has one of those cats beds clamped to my desk so whilst I'm working he is snoozing away and then has a period of zoomies, and back to sleep. Favourite toy right now is a ball of paper but I have to watch as he likes chewing on it!

He has settled in really well but the others are still a bit put out but coming around. I wasn't really after a kitten but felt bringing another adult car into the household would not be as easy as a kitten which will immediately assume lowest ranking in the pride.

He has been my almost constant companion since he arrived but I am trying to make time for my other cats who are still coming around to him

he has been sleeping under my chin except for last night when we were both too hot to snuggle, but he is so tiny I am worried I will roll on him but a vet check to register him etc showed is was almost 2.5Kg so not as small as I thought but compared to the other cats I guess he is tiny.

What a stunner.

I had one as a child and I've promised my son one once we move..

I have those thoughts too. Then when there's unfortunately a vacancy at The Simpo Luxury Home for Cats I get a rescue mog for £50... but I'd still like a trophy cat - must be like the pet equivalent of an Aston Martin smile

Yes, we were down to 3 when lockdown hit in 2020, realised we often couldn t see a single cat and decided to get another which turned into one each chosen by me, my wife and my stepdaughter.

One of them was pretty rare and very lovely so we kept her intact and had a litter from her (father was a ragdoll) and they were so cute we couldn t let them leave. Then we had another litter then following year, and again couldn t bear to part with them. We did take two rescues as well. So the number crept up gradually. 11 is barely more effort than 2 really.

Still space for a Maine coon I think!

Someone told me that having 2 children was much like having 1.5, not the 4 that it feels like…

I don’t talk to that person any more.
