Washing machine packed up - anything obvious?

Last wash 3 days ago, all good. Today machine is totally dead, none of the controls/button work and it doesn't power on. I've pulled it out of the slot it lives in and tested its socket, all good. To be sure changed the fuse. Still dead.

Looked up the receipt and we're 5 months out of guarantee, I didn't go for the extended. Seems a bit strange something should totally pack up like that.

Anything else to check before I have to get somebody out?

How long was the warranty? Your consumer rights trump warranties, it may be worth speaking to whoever you bought it off.
