Ace Cafe How is it staying open?
Discussion
Used to be the go to place for me and my friends years back when it was reopened but now it’s usually a dead zone even the car meets are very small, no doubt the location surrounded by so many flats, parking restrictions and of course ULEZ are killing it but how much longer can it survive? I would imagine it’s prime real estate now too worth many millions to developer, anyway it’s a shame to see its demise
I never understood why it was so popular in the first place. Other well known biker cafes like Rykas, Ponderosa, etc are in areas with decent biking roads. I got dragged to the Ace Cafe a couple of times by mates and if there are any decent roads within half an hour of there we never found them, it's just never ending urban traffic. Seems a bit of a waste of half a day when I could be going for a nice ride.
When I lived in Hertfordshire it was a toss up between the Ace and the Silver Ball out Royston way.
The Ace was good on a Friday night watching the hooligan element misbehaving with the fun of a deserted north circular on the was home
On a Sunday morning the Silver Ball was the one to visit as the roads made it worth the visit.
I think the bloke that runs the Ace actually owns the site so that's a nice pension pot along with the franchises across the globe which must be worth a few quid.

Jethro Tull had some useful observations on this subject many years ago,

The vocalisation doesn't make it easy. I gave up at what I thought was probably the relevant lyric. It may have been worth watching for an item of clothing. A friend from the last century with a Z750 Turbo recently got in touch having not been in touch with them for possibly a decade.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcmJThaACHQ&li...
They didn't know I'd got back on motorcycles. They were looking at some Ace Cafe limited edition Triumph on Autotrader that was £9K or something. They live in London. I don't think they have a garage. It'll get pinched.
Probably mortgage free, owned outright.
If your renting the building your pub/restaurant is in these days.
It seems your days are numbered due to landlord greed.
EDIT
They're franchising the name out (making extra money), there are Aces in.
