After a fabulous Austrian Grand Prix we're at Silverstone- a fast, demanding circuit that allows F1 cars to show what they can really do.
Silverstone's fast corners should suit the McLaren MCL39 down to the ground, especially if it's hot. Mercedes usually go well here but they don't seem to be able to get on top of the tyres, and Antonelli starts with a 3 place penalty. Lewis and Ferrari seems to be making some progress with the new floor, and Max and Red Bull should be close.
Pirelli are bringing tyres one step softer than usual to offer more choice on strategy- that could spice things up a bit.
I'm away cycling and watching Le Tour later this week so will probably miss it all!
Here s to a great race.
Date(s): Friday 4 July to Sunday 7 Junly2025.
UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)
All sessions are live on Sky F1 and Channel 4.

Woo, Silverstone! Usually a good race, and the biggest crowd of the entire year. Top three teams in the championship all have a British driver, so there has to be a reasonable chance of hearing God Save the King before the champagne gets sprayed!
Too much to ask Ferrari to let Lewis turn the PU up to 11 just for qualifying and the race?
Thanks PIAP as always for the first post.

Just a not for those watching on Sky, the coverage starts as usual on a Thursday night with a live show at 6pm-usually a bit of fun.
F1TV are doing their usual “Weekend Warmup” magazine show live on Thursday evening too, suspect there’s plenty of fun and games planned in front of the early bird crowd in the main stand. 19:30 local time for that one. Really looking forward to this - planning to be there for FP2 onwards on Friday for a few hours then all day Sat and Sun. Travelling in each day as we are only 7 miles away but the logistics of getting dropped off and taxi's home is starting to tax my brain a little too much at the moment!

Back on topic, how the hell did Logan Sargeant finish 11th last year?!
Rain and few front runners having issues. Plumped for Piastri. Expect Lando to get in his head about winning the home GP and drop a mistake or 2.
Russell to be best of the rest if it stays cool, but judging by how much I'm sweating already, who knows, might even rain.
