2 Pole Isolator Question
Discussion
I need to wire in an isolator switch this weekend. It's for an air source heat pump.
Can I just double check this. L1 will be incoming live, L3 will be incoming live.
T1 is live to appliance. T3 is neutral to appliance
It's a BG 2P AX 32a ip65 isolator switch.

Incoming Supply:
Live -> 1/L1
Neutral -> 5/L3
Outgoing Load:
Live -> 2/T1
Neutral -> 6/T3
Earth to Earth terminal (side metal block)

Both cables want to come into the bottom of the isolator if it’s fitted outside (unless cables coming through a wall)
Don’t drill the top as water will get in.

Interesting.
Here in NZ, electrical boards are MEN (multiple earth neutral). All earths are joined on a big long brass bar, all the neutrals are joined on another - then the two bars are joined together. Not forgetting a big earth wire attached to a stake in the ground. Only the live wire is switched.
