Audi A1 Driver Door lock

Advice please, my daughter has just bought her first car, but the drivers door doesn't always lock with the key fob and the petrol cover doesn't want to open !
All other door locks work and the drivers door locks with the key, but then doesn't open with the key fob !!
Might this just be the actuator ??
Any help greatly appreciated!!

I had the fuel flap and a door lock fail on my Audi.

There should be a red pull cord inside the side cover to release the petrol flap and the actuators are quite cheap on eBay.
I replaced the door lock with a pattern part but it gave up after a couple of years.
Managed to strip and repair the old one so swapped that back which lasted as long as I had it.
I think it was the micro switch that had failed.

Do you think it is likely to be the actuators rather than a central locking fault, as having thought about it, the day she bought it I couldn't open the boot until I had locked and unlocked the car a couple of times ! It was the same with fuel cover too, but only tried to open it last night to fill it up !
Car has been sat on drive last couple of weeks as she hasn't passed her test yet, so not used it.
