Distal bicep surgery

Hi has anyone had distal bicep surgery?
I've partially torn my tendon it happened a month ago and was put on list straight away
I've been to 3 surgery appoitments now and it has been cancelled evertime! after sitting there for nearly 10 hrs! starved and bored beyond belief.
I was told that ideally it needs to be done within 3 weeks, I'm now worried that the success of repair and recovery will be more difficult?
Likely hood is now I won't get a chance for surgery for another 2 weeks as they only do them every other week !
