Hi All

I was hoping someone could help me with a bolt missing out of my door card.

I purchased my car some months back and I’ve noticed the drivers door card didn’t seem on quite right.

upon investigation I found 2 bolts missing. 1 in the end of the door and 1 near the speaker. The one in the end of the door I fitted fine but the one above the speaker I’m not quite sure about?

when you look at the speaker it’s on the top left around the 11 O clock position, and it appears to go through a brass bush and possibly screws onto a black arm? You have to remove your aircon display to get to it. I’m really not sure what type of bolt should be there and should it screw onto this arm, although the arm only has a small hole?

hopefully this makes sense to someone. Any advice would be appreciated. Oh, and I can only find two videos and both don’t really show what the bolt is?

I expect you will get an answer on your McLaren Life post, but if not, you can always register on McLaren Techinfo, pay £20 or whatever it is for an hours access and then review the parts diagrams and workshop manuals.

Cheers for the reply, I’ve reached out to a few people but I might look at the other side? Although I don’t really want to touch it as it’s never been taken apart

I'm sure I documented taking my door card off - but I can't find it. If I'm remembering correctly that speaker bolt was a pain - but I think maybe it was something to do with access.

Take care when putting the climate control back in - the clips tend to spring off, and are then loose in your door - so you have to take the door card off again.........
