I've only been to a few GPs in Europe (Hungary, Spa and Silverstone), and I'm looking to take my wife and two teenage kids to the 2026 Italian GP, and stop at Lake Garda on the run up to it.

What's to most cost effective way of getting tickets? Ideally for T1/T2, unless those that have been suggest otherwise (quite like the idea of getting to the podium after the race)? Just looked at this years GP on the official website and it appear sold out, and 3rd party outlets want £2.5k for 4 seats on the Sunday onlyeek

F1 tickets website only has hospitality tickets available for Sunday this year.

https://tickets.formula1.com/en/f1-3293-italy

Official circuit ticket site is the same. Friday and Saturday GA available cheap, but Sunday sold out.

https://monzagpf1.ticketone.it/en/

So the official options are to either get fleeced on the secondary market, or to buy tickets for 2026 when they go on sale.

You could try and post a request in the “F1 tickets for sale or wanted” thread, see if anyone forum members bought tickets but can t make it.
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Alternatively, buy Fri and Sat tickets, and turn up Sunday to see if you can find a spare one somewhere.

Or watch Sunday from a local bar with some very loud Italian fans.

Alternatively see if any of the teams (eg Williams) have any spaces for their HQ race events.

Oh just to add (I’ve been twice) it isn’t the best track as a spectator. Great ambience, but average viewing.

We say in a stand by the last corner a few years ago. Access to the podium after it finished was pretty easy.

Thanks All.

What are the likely prices to be (2026) for a grand stand ticket at Turn 1 or the Parabolica?

Basically, I have a wife who loves Lake Garda, and two teenagers who like footy and F1, so my plan for 2026 was a 2 week stint at Garda with a trip to Monza and the San Siro.

Spa not an option as there is limited interest for the family post or pre GP, we've done Hungary. I think thats the school holidays covered, which only leaves Monza.

We’ve just got back from Garda, Sirmione is superb for a holiday and less expensive than you’d think.

Don't rule out the companies offereing packages including the F1. I've been twice with my friend and our wives. Stayed in decent hotel in Como, coach transfers to and from circuit each day. Had seats in the stand overlooking 1st chicane first time, next time we tried the start/finish straight which wasn't actually as good.

Our package worked out cheaper than just the race tickets for Silverstone. Como was beautiful, loads of nice bars and restaurants.

We went with MRI a few years ago, don't think they're still going.

Staying in the lakes is a good call - the peace by the lake after the heat and noise of the race is very pleasant. Also you can take the train in which is both cheap and fast.

OP here.

I'm now going to book tickets, however the 'official' F1 website is showing tickets which are way more than those shown on the circuit website.

https://tickets.formula1.com/en/f1-3293-italy

Compared with:

https://www.monzanet.it/en/tickets/

Has anyone got experience of purchasing either way?

Also, I'm looking to get seats near the start/finish straight, but I haven't got an unlimited budget. On that basis, I was thinking of seats on the inside of the main straight just before the pit exit. Is there a TV screen opposite? On that basis, can anyone point me in the direction of a map showing grandstands and TV screens?

Cheers!

The circuit website is usually the cheapest place to buy tickets for any race, apart from perhaps Silverstone and their “Dynamic” pricing model.

There may be a difference in how they are delivered (ie physical vs electronic, or needing to stand in a queue at a box office on the first day).

Here’s a pretty comprehensive guide to each grandstand from this year, although obviously these things can change for next year.

I went this year. Screens are a bit more widely spaced than ideal so a bit of a lottery, even if one looks close.

As vaud said, it's not a great circuit for spectating and at the end of the pit lane cars will be a 200mph blur. I'd recommend a covered grandstand or lots of sunblock, on the inside of the pit straight you'll potentially have the sun in your eyes all afternoon as the main straight runs roughly south to north.

I was in 26C (Laterale Destra C), which had a view from the exit of Parabolica to roughly pit exit, and really enjoyed that one. We were in with the tifosi, and directly opposite the podium and the McLaren and Ferrari pits. The atmosphere was incredible, we couldn't easily get onto the track for the podium celebration but with such a great view of the podium and rhe sea of fans on the circuit we didn't need to.
I bought the tickets through Motorsport Tickets as the circuit website had no availability.

Travel advice for the circuit - if you're reasonably healthy it's much faster to walk from Monza station than it is to use the shuttle buses. You'll queue to get on the bus, it's slow through the town and drops you a mile or so from the nearest part of the circuit (Parabolica). Queues at the end of the day to get back from the circuit were very long. It was a 3 mile walk from Monza station to my grandstand, so under an hour.
Some have also suggested the train to Lesmo and walking in, as the station is closer to the circuit, but as far as I could tell trains weren't running to Lesmo this year.
