Silly, it's obviously a 4 cylinder - Ford Zetec?

Yes, I’d say that’s a Nord - no idea what size though - didn’t realise the range of capacities of the old twin-cam was so wide

Silly, it obviously has Alfa Romeo written on it hehe

Think it's a Nord based on a Gemini image search

On the crank pulley side of the cylinder head there are some markings/symbols which indicate the engine size. I think if you have a look on somewhere like Alfabb someone will know what the symbols are.

From your photo I think its a 1600. Earlier cars, like yours, had the 'elephant foot sump, later cars had a more conventional sump.
Does your car have a spin off oil filter or is it a canister type.

I googled Alfa Romeo engine AR00526, the following thread may be of interest

https://www.alfabb.com/threads/engine-ar00526-a%C2...

Quote "The 00526/A*S engine type, produced from 1974-1989, was fitted to at least the Nuova Super, GT Junior 1.6 and Spider 1600 Junior."

One is for sale
