Up 20% this year to £170pm for me (m non smoker active 53) and 2 kids (20, 18) - Add on to that the missus (non smoker active 49) has her policy, thats £300pm.... We dont have all the bells and whistles ticked either.

10+ years ago the benefits used to be great - you could wrinse the discounted Mark Warner holidays, Cineworld with kids every week, 50% off virgin gym (moved away), free amazon prime - but now its occasionally a free coffee, 20% off some expedia hotels or play a stupid game to get some other "treat"

So its any other providers to look at or stick £300pm in an ISA account?

We ve got a very comprehensive, all bells and whistles policy with Aviva for £178 pm for me and the missus (56/55, non smokers, no health issues, very active.)

We claimed for £2ks worth of very good counselling for the missus last year as she was struggling a bit mentally with the menopause, and I think our monthly went up about a fiver.

I've just cancelled my Vitality policy for my wife and I and we are going to self insure. The premium jumped up again this year considerably.

I switch between Vitality and Aviva each year, based on price.

I use a broker called ActiveQuote, so they do all the hard work for me.

Wife and I are covered by my ex employer's medical plan for retired employees. It is a BIK, so pay tax on the employer's premium. The new plan year started 01.04.2025, the premium increased by £1300, and so for this tax year I'll be paying around £2600 tax, at my effective rate of tax, so £216 pm.

Ive used https://www.usaycompare.co.uk/ which where recommend on here.

We got prices from £70 a month to £175. Myself, my partner and her eight year old.

Ive forgotten their name on here, but someone works for Pureprotect.co.uk. Very helpful and did offer cashback, but it was Vitality and £175.

Usay have recommended WPA. I've got to do some research but it looks like I'll be going with them at £120 a month.
