Parking at the o2

I'm going to a gig at the o2 next week and it makes sense for me to drive there for various reasons. On the o2 website, it says you should use Car Park 1 for events, for which they want £32.50, but if you park in Car Park 2/3/4 for up to 6 hours, it's £15. What am I missing here? Is it just that pre-booking Car Park 1 guarantees you a space, but the other car park options don't? Are the others (2/3/4) really likely to fill up early evening?
