Can the owner advise the issue with the targa top and why not rectified?

I have previously had the roof fixed twice; and within 6 months it has failed again after new motors being fitted. So it was a choice to get it sealed so as to not do this again. Common issue on Targa's. Have discussed with the Independent Specialist I use and it needs 2 new motors. The full mechanism is there and just needs these. Was sealed with windscreen or specialist sealant (they couldn't confirm which); but the sealant is between the rubber seals on the 2 parts of the roof so not on the glass itself. Thus replacing the motor will then just work. But for how long is anyone's guess.

Hi, I remember this car being auctioned on this site a few weeks ago. Did it not meet reserve price ?

Has the car lived outdoors?
I know the bumpers have been resprayed but bonnet also looks quite stone chipped so along with rust on 4x wheel arches guessing it would benefit from partial respray.
I don't fully understand your explanation of roof issue & how it has been 'sealed', presumably it was leaking as well as not correctly retracting(?) so will need complete seals + motors and cables?

Car has lived indoors most of its life
Only taken out this spring for summer
While car has been polished so and bunkers resprayed and hardly driven since so doesn't need a respray or have notifae chips
Has been sealed on rubber seals with windscreen or specialist sealant. Mechanism for roof is all there just needs 2 new motors but as mentioned it been sealed as these failed after replacement so choose to seal it to avoid reputition
