Stuck in a Holiday let with no sound on TV?

The Cottage has a Samsung small smart TV that no matter what I do has no sound for on any channel.

It’s not muted, volume goes up and down on the screen, set to TV speakers in settings and it makes a noise when you move from one app to another on the main screen menu so there is a connection to the speaker.

Driving me mad and nobody around to look at it.

Any ideas?

Turn on subtitles

Try a full reset - power out for 5 mins, etc

Failing that. grab some drinks and sit outside and talk/play cards, etc

Turn it off and on again. Properly unplug it rather than on and off.

Amazingly if you do a Google search for 'samsung tv no sound' you'll find test/reset steps that should hopefully fix it.

Thanks Guys, pulling the plug worked, when I did the power lead fell off the back so I think wasn't in properly, would that cut power to speaker but still allow tv to work?

I’m not here to relax I’m painting every room in my sisters new house and so staying across the road, no time to play or relax so just wanted to catch up on news before I collapse in to bed.

I didi but just got the usual mute/unmute procedure, fixed anyway but thanks

Sounds like my inlaws that have to watch the news at a set time every day.
