Received a quote from a company offering to do the whole thing, inc DVLA, Taxes, Export paperwork etc for £3000.
Is that about right or are there cheaper ways of importing from Europe.
Nearly half was shipping and "all legal transport documentation".
Thanks

Europe is pretty big. If it's coming from quite close (N France/Belgium/Holland) I'd say that was a bit steep. Southern Italy on the other hand...

I think you may get better advice if you could give a bit more detail. smile

Assuming you aren't including transport in there from a fair distance away, that seems £2750 too much to me tbh.

You do need a customs agent, but that's a couple of hundred tops. The rest is easy enough to figure out DIY.

Edited to add. Transport is my thing & over £3k for transport alone isn't necessarily daft, heck even double that is possible for high value enclosed from big distances. But for regular open transport from say Holland, Northern France, not deep into Germany it is.

From Netherlands. Nice if it came to Scotland but anywhere would work I guess.
The price is scuppering the deal at the moment.
Just done a me there and back, comes to a little over £1000. But I don't have a passport. Actually just realised, that includes a car both ways so would be less...
