mrs DG has just had an e-mail reminding her that her Porsche Connect contract is up and does she want to renew. I'm not sure that there's a whole lot that we need on there (the satellite picture whilst navigating (as well as traffic updates) is a nice touch but I'm not convinced it's worth £15p/m - what else have I been missing from that package... is there anything else worthwhile?

Personally, I like the MyPorsche app and use it quite a lot - I think that you need Porsche Connect for that.

ETA - Actually I think that's the Car Remote package which does that which was £89 pa.

The navigation package is £159 pa, and I don't hink I'll be renewing that.

Not renewed my subscription this year - the maps haven't been updated for a while (which was the main reason I took it out) and I now use carplay instead - which covers most needs

cheers for the reponses above - it appears that I'm on the same page. Early doors yet but I really can't see any downside to not renewing...

The Security Services package (which you can select separately, at least with a Cayman) includes tracker if you need that for insurance.

Depends on the age of your PCM and the software version installed. My 992 map software seems to get almost weekly updates. Technology choice are a personal decision and, of course, Apple Car Play gives a viable option - until such time as Apple start charging for the service
