This bloke is really getting on my tits.

I have been following him for several years, and he was OK to start with, but lately, virtually every video he has got his begging bowl out.

His latest one was moaning about the expense of having his several motorbikes, plus having to buy his camera and editing equipment.

Well, his bikes are his business, not really an expense as such, sure if someone wants to contribute to his channel in a small way, that's great, but he does not need to mention this nearly every time.

Also, he is full of his own importance, for example:- "This is the review you have been waiting for" ffs!

He has 130,000 subscribers, some even call him Uncle Stu. wtf!!

Yes, I know I can unsubscribe etc.

Anyone else follow him?

My opinion is torn on him.
On one side he has some really good advice and well made how-to videos. I particularly like his video on restoring brushed aluminium finish on engine covers, and his chain cleaning/maintaining videos.
However I also can't stand his voice.
He also has a paper thin ego and can't handle any criticism at all. He will heart hundreds of positive comments on his videos giving the false perception that no one has anything negative to say, because when you heart a comment it goes to the top of the list. Anything negative is either buried or he deletes them. I just clicked his latest video now and sorted comments by most recent, and he was hearting comments an hour ago and will continue to do so all day every day as he's chronically online.
I've even seen him completely lose it over an anonymous poster on a FB group claiming to know exactly who he was and started mentioning personal details, purely on a complete guess since they posted anonymously. His ego is so thin he can only imagine having a single 'hater' in the world and confidently assumed who it was. There was also a rumour that as soon as Triumph stopped giving him freebies he started to talk bad about the brand and hyped up RE instead. Not sure if there's any truth to that but he wouldn't be the first Youtuber to act that way.

These days I mainly watch Mr Darcy for that modern classic/cruiser niche sector. Or rarely the Missender Flyer or whatever he's called.

Watched a few and quite enjoyed the content. Another had him ranting about something or other and he just came across as an opinionated windbag. If he could stick to the bike stuff, and recognise there are opinions other than his own, he’d be quite watchable.

Never heard of the guy so I had to look. Did he actually say "Yoww-choob"? Yes, he did - I'm out!

There are precious few I CAN stand these days tbh - Nathan the Postman and one or two others aside.

I like the dad on Mr Darcy but absolutely cannot stand the son.

At least with Nathan's videos you can tell he's not saying anything calculated so as to not affect potential press bikes like so many others do

In a similar vein, Una Moto seems like the most fragile man alive, he's turned off comments now because he can't handle criticism of him crying every now and then.

I commented on this when he was a bit of a wreck crossing the American/Canadian border. How the hell he is going to cope when he gets to some of the more interesting countries I have no idea.

Wasn’t his reasoning for turning off comments something along the lines that people saying negative things about his videos will mean that he won’t be able to make it to NZ?

Like Plodder above I enjoy the odd video. I actually really like his voice. But he is intolerant of other opinions and perspectives, you can tell he thinks he's the smartest guy on a bike. I only watch him occosionally for that reason, does my nut in.

I actually had a horrible experience at triumph glasgow (a one off, dealer has been a great experience all other times). One of the staff came to chat to me while I was looking at a street twin 900 and told me that I didn't need all that power and I should look at the 900s for my first bike. He ignored me when I said that was indeed the bike I was looking at. He then told me about how the power doesnt matter and that if he had a 125 on a racetrack he could lap faster than most guys on sport bikes. He ignored me saying that I had done a track day. He then proceeded to recommend me stu's channel for bike advice (which he again ignored me when I said I was subscribed). And I thought yeah, you are precicesly the kind of person that loves him.

I think I watched some a few years back. Amazing ability to drag out a snippet of info into a 30 minute video.
A lot of youtubers are like that.
Somehow if you cant read a few lines properly in 10-15 seconds you have to suffer a long video containing no added info.

I think it was because he cried seeing the nuclear testing site in the US, as he had been to Hiroshima, which I get, but you don't need to include it in the video. Also he seems to get emotional whenever he sees a worm or ant in distress.

Given his complaining about getting through customs in Ireland, I can't wait until he does this in Africa... hehe

Wouldn't be surprised if at some point, Stuart will see this thread and make an account just to comment. He seems like the type to google his own name
