I can’t decide between these 2 cars. Budget is up to circa £26k.
Usage is a weekly commute of 100 motorway miles each way and some weekend fun, don’t need more power as i would prefer to keep my licence with no points.
I have driven a TT for a reasonable distance and found it ok on the motorway, not taken an F Type on the motorway, do the large tyres make it ridiculously noisy?
Opinions welcomed.

The F type would get the nod for me but I'd go for the 3.0:

I get that you'll get a newer 2.0t for the same money but I'd suffer the car being 2 years older car:

I test drove a 2.0 F type and while many will slate the exhaust noise or lack of it i enjoyed the drive and the quiet preferring it over the larger engined cars.

Certainly fast enough and still a sense of drama but i never took it on a motorway and i never noticed tyre noise.I chose a 991 over the Jag but it was a close call.

F-Type all day long for me, and agree on the V6 rsther than 4 cylinder as well.

Keeping your license is down to your right foot and self control, not what engine is under the bonnet.

Thanks all, really appreciate your replies.
Re right foot and self control, even in my fifties when i am in a nice car and the weathers good etc i just don’t seem to have any self control…

There's only a 40bhp difference between the V6 & 4 pot so the results will be the same in either, so get the V6 wink

You’re right but i am hoping for slightly better mpg from the 2.0 and also the v6 soundtrack would tempt me into using the HP more often!

You're going to hate me but it's only 4-5mpg difference real world frown (the extra low down torque from the V6 makes the difference smaller than you think.
