981 GT4 to 991.1 S

I've been the lucky owner of a GT4 for 5 years and 30 something thousand miles now but with the recent addition of a baby, the idea of being able to take the family out in a silly car all at the same time is becoming rather appealing. My 4 is a comfort spec and rather unusually has isofix, which is complicating the thought process a little.
That said, has anyone swapped between these two cars? I owned a 981 S for a few years and after having a 987, the steering bugged me. I can't imagine a 991 is much different to this - I've heard the 4S is better in this regard? My thinking is they both have the same engine, will essentially be the same when you're plonked in it (no cage or buckets in mine) but it'll be more usable.
Thoughts are much appreciated!
