Full circuit access on Friday

Well worth doing though. The pits are heaving. They normally have the trophy on display at the Dunlop bridge. The swoop down from Dunlop to Terry rouge is great if like me you prefer cycling down hill. Craft beer place (circuit de la biere) on the straight will be open and then the mulsanne corner car show where they will be lined up half way to Indianapolis

Oh cycling down hill is definitely favoured, I am definitely no climber.. Sounds like should be possible then, but must remember to take my ticket with me for full access..

We started the track walk on Porsche curves with two RC cars, my Cupra R failed, firstly went backwards into a barrier and cracked the bumper, then the screw came out the servo so lost all steering.
Thankfully my lads Laguna fared better and managed to make it most of the way round before they closed the track off for the walk.
Lots of people loving the Laguna, especially the locals.
Spoke to quite a few people on the way round, so if you were one of them, hi again and nice chatting.

Think we saw you on Mulsanne with one going towards Tertre Rouge.
Pain getting on as Marshall opened gate at Karting for 30 seconds then locked it and Road off on bike. So 15 mins walking inside track. PITA at Tertre Rouge wasting 25 mins (it’s advertised as track open to public but why check tickets on track - why not just at entry ti village and pits).
Could have got seriously stuffed at Arnage at 6.50pm as had to speak to 5 or 6 police to get through last bit back to Porsche Curves,
Great event and really enjoyed it
But officials and police can really screw it up and leave you in middle of nowhere after a long walk in 30 deg plus heat

I got on at Porsche Curves after showing my ticket to get into the circuit and then a couple of hundred metres later, got stuck in a huge queue of people at a check point where there were only 2 people checking tickets.. And then somewhere around Dunlop bridge, another huge queue to have tickets checked again..
But I did get the lap completed after dodging people just didn't look around to see what was around them.
I think due to the temperature, they also tried to clear the track early. I saw a couple of people being looked after by medics on the way round. All that standing around to get your ticket checked probably didn't help.
Looks cool on Strava though

TRACK OPEN TO PUBLIC
which it is clearly not - why have all the queues in 30 deg heat for 15 to 20 mins at Tertre Rouge just to get out!
Surely just ticket check end of pits if you want to control numbers there. Last year there was loads of restricted Friday ticket nonsense.
Police just wanted to avoid getting wet and go home early.
The first 5 police at Arnage corner at 6.50pm are hardly protecting the public by sending you off on an extra 2 mile diversion to Arnage village!
6th police officer female and chief finally took notice of my sons scars on knee from recent op and let us through.
The broom wagon buses only appeared later as virtually off circuit by time that appeared.

The queueing at the access/entry points has been a bit of a challenge since they started the open track in 2022, more scanners would help, but there also appeared to be a scanner/signal challenge this year that compounded things. We aborted our run at the 1st chicane as the water we were tacking to keep hydrated, would have run out by the second and without knowing if it was possible to refill en-route would have been in trouble before Mulsanne corner.
Some improvements would help but despite that the Friday track run remains one of our highlights.

I did a lap on my Brompton but didn't understand the need to scan tickets at 4 or 5 points around the track. The queue at Tertre Rouge was enormous and plenty were just pushing straight in at the front. I had to do it myself in the end as those of use who were actually queuing weren't even moving.
Car show down at Mulsanne corner had some interesting metal amongst the dull ranks of nearly-new 911s.
