We have a new to us van, a 2016 sport. fantastic or vantastic if you like.... everything is great except the radio is absofeckinlutely ste. Drops in and out on DAB and FM. Because we have a poptop with a wind deflector, I am guessing the convertors....a professional company btw, couldnt be arsed to drill a hole in the deflector so just put in a windscreen stick on thingy....see pic.
I like my music as I drive, so what are my options? In the pic its only the central black connector that is stuck to the windscreen. Those circular things are flappy plastic bits.
I was wondering if I could pull off the plastic panel housing thr map lights and see whats underneath....maybe drill a hole into the deflector and put up a good aerial. BUT I would have to splice the wires together as I will not be ripping more panels off into the back of the media unit

If it's a heat reflective windscreen, it might be blocking the signal.

It's so that you're not blinded by the sun when you look at your rear view mirror.
