Haha, missed that.
Is that after the Nostromo?
ETA
OK! 2 years before Alien.
But doesn't make sense of the desperation never to let the creature get to Earth, because it would spread uncontrolled.
So now we have a series where I am going to guess that the creature can be controlled somewhat.
Picking holes in a yet to be shown programme that I'm sure that I'll enjoy

Yes, that does look encouragingly good!
Such a shame about Prometheus as that should have been a great film.
Yeah i still think it could be cut into a reasonable film as well with a careful re-jig and removal of the most stupid bits.Such a shame about Prometheus as that should have been a great film.
Like the Matrix Decoded fan edit improved the sequels a lot, there's also the Alien 3 Legacy fan edit which is supposed to be excellent too.

I am slightly hopeful on this.
From what I can see from the trailers it will possibly be the most blood soaked series in TV history and the addition of 4 extra evil alien species sounds interesting especially the one which sucks your eyeball out and then replaces it with itself so it can then control you like a robot sounds like a riot!
Fingers crossed.

This looks excellent, I really hope it doesn't have nods and winks to the other films. I've wished for so so long a new 'Alien' adventure that has nothing to do with the Ripley story, nothing to do will all the Prometheus stuff or shoehorning in this that and the other. Just an entirely new and fresh take featuring one of cinema's nastiest and most intriguing gribblies!
I'll let this grow. So far I'm not electrified. Maybe it'll all come together nicely. Some spectacular shots.
Logic seems a bit out to lunch here and there.
Why would a search and rescue team have one actual medic and a ton of gunpeople with rifles at the ready? Who would let a bunch of unique prototypes with the minds of children run around a disaster area? Presumably it'll delve deeper into the corporate manouevrings but so far it seems very simplistic.

I watched about 1 min of it lunchtime, just because I'm pretty excited to see it. They've nailed the look, the tech looks like Alien / Aliens tech, weirdly futuristic and retro at the same time.
Hi....I too am very excited about this, the original Alien made such an impact on me and no Alien film since has really come close. Have all episodes dropped or is it just the first?Edited by towser on Wednesday 13th August 14:34
