Afternoon everyone.

Recently had the bathroom redone.

I was wondering whether to use a paintable caulk or some mould resistant silicon/sealant in the corner where the wall tiles meets the ceiling? I'm about to do the colour coat this weekend so would like to know if I need to do something before or after.

Due to the shape of the tiles, it's left some uneven gaps so just want to tidy the edges. One reason for this issue is when I went to mist coat the ceiling after it was originally skimmed (before tiles), it had pulled away the skim on the roller. So had to pull it all off and had it re-skimmed.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Caulk tends to shrink. Most sealants are not paintable but the one below is - so should suit your requirement.

I used a Soudal one (Acryrub), it's not so much that the caulk shrinks, just that a lot of them are outright incompatible with the paint and the paint itself crazes. Even a lot of nominally paintable ones aren't great.

If the aim is to straighten out the ceiling edge then caulk is the answer, if it was to finish the tiling off then silicone could be the better option if it needs to colourmatch grout. Depends on exactly what the detail is you're trying to achieve.
