Recommendations for hybrid bike for fairly tall fat bloke?

Hi all,
As the thread title says, in an effort to be less fat, I'm looking to get myself a hybrid bike for short-ish leisure rides. I'm 6' 2" and currently weigh c. 125kg so it needs to be something sturdy but at the same time I don't want something that weighs as much as a Transit van - I've already got enough weight to lug about just moving myself!
I ride a Brompton to commute 4 days a week, so I'm not unfamiliar with regular biking, but it's been a while since I regularly rode for leisure. The Brompton is a great tool for the intended use but the roads around my way are badly maintained and the 16" wheels are not great on rough surfaces, plus since it's my daily driver I would rather use something else for leisure rides and not have to worry so much if it sustained a flat or other damage.
Budget under £1k, and needs to be a supplier that would accept Cyclescheme. Would prefer non-suspension bikes as I don't intend to ride much off road with it and I know from experience at my weight, most sprung shocks are more of a hindrance than a help as they are always bottoming out over bumps etc, making the steering jerky when steering and so on.
I like the look of the Boardman URB 8.9 with the belt drive (as I'm a fan of hub gearing being a long-time Brompton rider) but it seems belt drive is a bit marmite to those in the know?
Would welcome some recommendations, ta!

Anything from Specialized, Giant or Trek. As you say without suspension and with 32-40c tyres. Buy something a bit cheaper and get a decent saddle.

Be careful with weight limits. This bike, for example, the limit is 129kg for rider and gear.Personally I think Giant offers the best value
