Getting to Carrefour!
Discussion
Staying on Hippodrome this year again. We didn't need to leave the circuit last year so I'm not sure how to get up to Carrefour and Panorama parking on Sunday. Looking at the map it looks like you would go back out onto Chemin aux Boefs and leave under the track by Tetre Rouge. Then turn left up a little link road to the D338 roundabout and up the Av Georges Durand. I just wanted to check if thats possible. Hope this makes sense!
Why are you going to Carrefour on Sunday? Other than the petrol station it’s closed.
Without looking at a map I am not sure on the directions but am going to guess you have to head in towards the tram station and circuit entrance at the roundabout go right round the stadium under the track and turn left at the bar, however I think you have to turn right on to the dual carriageway go down to the next junction and either come off and back on yourself or work your way through to carrefour from behind or.

I'm assuming that's meant to be two questions, first how to generally get from Hippodrome to Carrefour and second how to get from Hippodrom to Panorama parking, specifically on the Sunday.
Can't help with the second but the first:
1. Exit the campsite and follow the only road round past the KFC and tram station to the Chemin aux Boefs roundabout.
2. Right at the roundabout, towards the stadium then right (usually the only option) at the next roundabout and under the circuit at Tetre Rouge.
3. Ignore the little link road up to D338 and continue straight ahead, still on Chemin aux Boefs.
4. After a couple of minutes you'll come to the junction with the D142. Throw a hairpin left onto the D142 and up over the D323.
5. Follow the D142 into Le Mans, straight across the first, "Ferrand" traffic lights (will make sence when you see it).
6. At the second set of lights turn left, signposted "Center Sud" and "La Poste".
7. At the "La Poste" roundabout turn right, then turn left into the underground part of the Center Sud car park.
Not the shortest route but the shortest route takes you down the roads 90% of people are using to get to/from the circuit so while the shorter isn't generally the quicker one.

Yea, good luck trying to follow Google's route over race weekend.
There's no access down the road west of the hippodrome so you'd actually have to start by heading east, then north to the KFC, past the tram station and left at the roundabout onto Chemin aux Boefs, before driving down to Beausjour to rejoin that route. And Chemin aux Boefs/D92 tend to be traffic jams most of Wed/Thurs as they are the main access routes to all of Porsche Exterieur/Beausjour/Pincenardiere/Dairon/Karting/Houx/Epinettes/Houx Annex campsites.
From Hippodrome if you want a Super U you'd probably be better off going around to/right at the roundabout onto Chemin aux Boefs, then at the end rather than going left onto the D142 as for Carrefour go right onto/second left off of the D142 and you have a more or less straight drive to the Super U at Changé.
Have to say I've not tried that route but wouldn't expect any random closures as you're a decent distance from the circuit. Thinking of giving it, or the next/D304 junction a go next Wednesday as an arrival route (to Hippodrome) though as it cuts of joining the mass of traffic all trying to negotiate the D323/D338 and D323/airport junctions and feeder roads.

I'm not sure where Hippodrome entrances/exits are - we tend to go there from Epinettes during the week and don't have many problems There's no access down the road west of the hippodrome so you'd actually have to start by heading east, then north to the KFC, past the tram station and left at the roundabout onto Chemin aux Boefs, before driving down to Beausjour to rejoin that route.
