Hello there guys!
I have a problem with my aston martin db12.
Every day when I start the engine,my car forgets some of previously saved settings.
For example, driver assistance
I'm choosing not full assistance, but the custom assistance. Then I'm leaving my car and next day It's still full assistance by default. So I need to choose custom assistance every time I drive.
The worst thing is music from usb drive
Each time I start the engine, my car forgets which song I stopped listening from, and starts from first song. It even forgets that I have shuffle mode on
This "music thing" also can happen the I drive. For example, when I start for the green light. The auto start engine feature starts my engine and music automatically drops for the first song with no shuffle

Does anyone had the same problems? How can I fix it?
Thank you!

P.s. sorry for my mistakes in English, I'm not the native speaker

If it's a DB12 then surely it's still under warranty? Take it back to your main dealer and ask them.

I believe Driver Assistance has to be re-selected each time the ignition is turned on. Unfortunately not a glitch but EU legislation - thank Brussels.

I’m not sure which country you acquired the car from but even non-EU countries such as the US have the same requirements from the system, which feels like a missed opportunity (or laziness) from AM.

Regarding audio, yes perhaps contact your dealer on that one. Should be solvable.

There's so much software on cars now, the first thing to check would be if you're running the latest version.

I agree with AMRicardo.

It is correct that your driver assistance features become active, every time you start the engine.
This situation became a legislative requirement (agreed by unknown people in Brussels, sometimes Strasburg) on all new cars registered after (I think July) 2024. They kindly (so far) are allowing drivers to switch off these systems, but it appears that they did not want switching off to be too easy.

My own Aston Martin only has ABS and ESP, which I consider to be sensible safety aids.
My youngest daily driver car is year 2022 (not subject to current driver aid legislation), so thankfully I am able to very easily disable the only 'new type' driver assistance system (Stop/Start), by pressing one physical button. I don't want my engine to be repeatedly restarted, with initially zero oil pressure. Automatic emergency braking is active (I don't know whether that can be switched off), but I am happy for that to remain active, even though it mistakenly thinks I am about to crash.

I guess that it is unlikely that this new legislation applies in every country, but presumably it is simpler for car manufacturers not to have many different software specifications.

I think Aston Martin have simplified the switching off procedure, so your dealer will know whether you have the latest update.

Yes our new 2025 Vantage forget the last USB source song and begins with track 1 from the source.

Also if we start the navigation during the drive - after the short navigation startup voice - the USB Media set back to play Track 1 again. Its so a mess.
