Three points for stuff like this is mental. Mrs DS got one for 24 as well - she had to do a SAC. To have to sit through one - or worse still get three points and all my insurance fked up - would make my blood boil.

Cue some tit going “well there’s an easy way to avoid getting caught…” etc. bore off!

Presumably he’s just got to 12 points and had a totting up ban

annoys me to have a speed limit below the point cruise control can be activated. could just be a rubbish CC system in vauxhalls of that age/spec?

You mean a serial offender gets a more severe punishment than a first time offender? I'm appalled, shocked even.

It is below the speed at which the speedo legally (according to period type approval) has to work on more than one of my cars.

If you have an actual speed limiter on the car you can just put that on lol.

If he’s sitting on 9 points and continues to break the speed limit well someone hand me the worlds smallest violin.

Today’s experience for me 50 mph on M5 for about 8 miles at 0600hrs seemingly because someone in the control room thought it would be a giggle or they were running out of SAC attendees and dozens of 20 mph limits round schools when it’s half term.

I didn't know 20 zones were even policed. Was it a speed camera / robot Vs an actual policeman?

TX.

Fairly sure there are fixed cameras on the Avenue.

4th in 3yrs, plus must have had an awareness course amongst that lot and passes known fixed cameras near where he lives.

Hardly scandalous to get a ban although so many the 20mph London limits are ridiculous

The article confirms it was a speed camera.

And I managed to avoid the paywall

If I were nearby, I'd probably make a point of seeing how many times a day I could set it off on a bicycle.

Speed cameras are marked, so if you use that stretch of the road regularly you would remember spots where the speed cameras are, right?
