Repairing damage to PPF caused by rubbing meths on tar spots

I used methylated spirit on my bumper to remove some tar spots - the car bumper has been covered with ppf.

Now I notice that where I have rubbed the tar spots, the meths has dulled the ppf - you can see where I've rubbed it with meths.

No amount of washing or waxing has restored the shine to the ppf where I have rubbed the meths.

How to repair this damage - or am I looking at a replacement of the ppf

If it’s self healing PPF some light heat will restore the finish somewhat

How far do you go with this, something to protect the layer that you applied to protect the layer that you applied to protect the PPF which itself is a layer to protect the paint!
