I need to buff out a few marks on my car ahead of selling it in a month, is there a recommended drill attachment that will help?

I've seen some cheap ones on Amazon ranging from £5.00 to £20.00 but are they actually any good?

I Personally wouldnt go anywhere near them, you could very easily cause a lot more damage to the car by burning through the paint.

You'd have to be an absolute buffoon to burn through paint with a drill (unless you don't bother with a pad any try to do it with the velcro backing plate hehe )

Get the adapter and backing plate as cheap as you're comfortable with, and buy the pads and polish from somewhere reputable.

OP, I know the sort of things you mean. 3" backing plate with several foam pads of varying colours for a tenner.

Yes, they work but only in as much as they are quicker than doing it by hand. And, can potentially cause damage if paint/pad is not clean to start with.

Depends a lot on what it is you are trying to remove I guess but used carefully with the right cutting compounds you would get rid of surface marks at least.

Depends how bad the marks are but try something like meguiars ultimate compound by hand.
I have some cheapo Amazon foam pads and have used them without issue to be fair on headlamps etc.
If you can feel the scratches with a nail its generally considered as a waste of time.

Thanks all, I'll have a look at the hand applied solutions perhaps.
