RPM Technik or Back Draft Motorsprot?
Discussion
Hi everyone, I recently got myself a very nice 981 GT4. I have had the car for 2 months now, and got to know it quite well on a recent Nurburgring trip.
I have a few things I wanted to get looked at. This is my first Porsche, and I am looking for a decent specialist to look after it. I am in MK and looking around. It looks like BDM markets themselves as a Porsche specialist, along with a number of other brands, but I also had RPM pop up and Rennworks.
I called Rennworks, and they asked me to call back next week. They are booking into mid-August already, which to me is a good thing, as it shows their demand. However, I wanted to have the car looked at in the next few weeks.
Does anyone have a view on BDM and RMP?
I see loads of good reviews for RMP, with price being the only comment from some, but I am more than happy to pay for a good service.
I am wanting just some general work
- Car inspected (as its new to me and I am new to Porsche)
- Handbrake is long to engage
- It has full Porsche history but I can't see BFC or Diff and Gearbox oil being changed
- Oil separator is what I think is causing a pulsating wine, and it isn't very pleasant
- Geo
- And maybe fit a MR12Volt.
Many thanks

Another shout for RPM. Use them for my GT and GT3, lot of work on the GT including KW dampers, clutch/service etc, currently with them now for an issue which they've turned around quickly as I'm at Goodwood this weekend.
Very enthusiastic and skilled team with an impressive expanding facility. Usually a few CGT's there for work along with the odd 959.

Most popular specialists will be booking months ahead, especially for ones that do work on the GT cars as it's spring and everyone gets their cars out
Offering to leave your car at the garage and them look at it when they get a chance (sometimes between jobs) then it will increase the chances with the uncertainty that the car might be in for an undertermined length of time.
Think there is a guy on the Facebook groups who imports and can install the mr12volt
