As per the title really..
Looking for a new outfit and the Klim Badlands is out due to it's boxy shape really. Tried it on and just couldn't get to grips with it.
They didn't have any Carlsbad in stock so couldn't compare but apparently it's a 2 layer rather than 3 and a somewhat better 'fitted' design than the Badlands.

Anyone have any first hand experience, good or bad??

Cheers

Hi Steve,

I’ve got the Jacket & Trousers and I absolutely love them.

My main criteria was that I wanted something to fit nicely I’m 6’6, 44 chest and 34 waist. Stupidly long arms and legs and the “long” version was the main appeal to me.

I really wanted something that had laminate waterproofing (so not to get heavy in the rain) but would also vent nicely for those two hot days we have.

These are absolutely perfect for both. If it’s cold I do the vents up and wear the correct base layers and down jacket. If it’s hot, nice wicking base layers and open all the vents. I’ve worn it on my GS and my Triumph Speed Triple, it’s honestly the best suit I’ve ever had and ticks every single box. I can honestly say I cannot tell you a single thing wrong with it.

If you’ve got any other questions let me know. Tomorrow morning I’m setting off for a weeks ride around Wales and looking at the forecast I’ll be testing the waterproofing again, but I honestly have zero concerns.

Sorry, to add regarding fit -

I pulled the hem in on the waist of the jacket so it sits nice and snug to the trousers and I always zip them together. I have got the poppers set on the arms and I really like how it zips up separately to the wrist Velcro.

There’s possibly a bit more space in the jacket than I’d like, however that’s taken up by the down jacket that I wear under it most of the time smile.

Yep, I have both the jacket and trousers. Love them both, the jacket is exceptional. Great in the rain and in hot weather too, it vents really well.

Worn them a lot over the last 5 years, no problems yet.

Cheers both!

Funny how the world works...

There's a virtually brand new set of jacket and pants popped up on FBMP in Montreal. Not close but I'm heading that way tomorrow so it'd be rude not to check it out.
I think it's the Sage colour scheme. Not my fav bit not bad...
Might treat myself to a new set of gloves as well, mine are Asia spec and slightly over vented for Canadia!
