White Vanquish
Discussion
I'm looking for opinions from the AM owners. Financially I'm now in a position to purchase a Vanquish 2012 onwards model. Prices appear quite varied, I've always wanted one and will be scratching that itch this year.
I love the black ones but I'm also quite liking the White, however they seem to be on Autotrader for longer than other colours. My local garage ( Stratton Motor company) has a white convertible vanquish which has been for sale for sale quite some time.(out of my price range)
Are white Am's in general not well liked ? SMC also have a Maroonish/burgundy DBS which has been in sale since 2023.. I don't understand why it hasn't sold.
I don't want to buy a car that may be difficult to sell in the future, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Personal opinion (as all matter of colours is when you get down to it) and as the owner of an Onyx V8V I think it depends on the particular white. White cars do look dirty quickly (as do black cars, to be fair) but have the advantage that they don't show any paint swirls quite so noticeably as on black or darker colours. As AML tend to use light-coloured primers, stone chips also don't tend to show on white and lighter cars like they do on the darker colours.
Having said all of that, I wouldn't have a solid white Aston; Morning Frost, however, is an entirely different matter as it's a spectacular colour. Blacks and darkgreys "silvers" have always traditionally been the colours for VH cars but, if ever I was looking again (unlikely), I think I'd put Cobalt Blue high on my list of preferences for a VH Vantage. But not white.

I agree with this. The likes of Morning Frost and White Stone (not sure if this was available on VH cars) are great whites. Having had Meteorite Silver and now Magnetic Silver - both grey really - my next Aston would be a blue, red, orange or green just for the chance of a change.Having said all of that, I wouldn't have a solid white Aston; Morning Frost, however, is an entirely different matter as it's a spectacular colour. Worth saying many here will give you a view on 6 v 8 speed gearboxes on Vanquishes if you’ve not already seen those. You are in the right place. Good luck with the purchase.
