GT3 alloys - TPMS critical ?
Discussion
Current plan is to swap tyres onto my single wheel set for summer / track use. Per previous post have not found a place to do this.
However, I'm also considering just getting another set of wheels, then I only have to swap wheels, not do a tyres on / off twice a year. Have seen some wheels I'm interested in....question is, what exactly do I need to buy in addition to the wheels to run the TPMS ? And is it a viable option, just to not bother with TPM ? Given these are mainly track wheels and I check the pressures during the day anyway, I'd rely on my tests not the TPMS. I'm not sure if this would mean that I just get a 'fault' on the TPMS menu ? Or any other issues ? And would my original wheels, with TPMS, just work with the system when I put them back on.
Tried googling, but a lot of advice from US sites and struggling to then make sense of the parts that I apparently need. I think it's valve stems and sensors ?
Any info appreciated.

It’s ok without TPMS on a 718 GT4. You’ll get a warning message which you can cancel and then the tyre pressure warning light will remain illuminated on the dashboard (after flashing for a minute or so). I assume a GT3 will be the same.
I am going to try some Huf TPMS on my spare set of wheels.

Thanks - I had seen that brand mentioned in a few threads. Hope it goes well.I am going to try some Huf TPMS on my spare set of wheels.
TPMS is new to me but done the same as your thinking and bought a second set of wheels but for track days. All you need is a second set of TPMS sensors. Best place I found was Design 911 but eBay also has options.

I bought TP sensors from D911 and couldn’t get them to work. After a frustrating couple of weeks trying I sent them back and bought from this company. You give them the VIN and the sensors arrive ready configured. Cheaper than D911 and same sensors…
