Adding Telematics
Discussion
Has anyone added Telematics to their car? I personally own an early Pure which annoyingly doesnt have the Telematics. You don't need it of course but as I bought mine for track it would be useful to keep an eye on temps.
I have a diagnostic tool that lists the Telematics as a "module" Is this a physical module that needs plugging in or can it be enabled in the software somewhere?

I believe in France you can retrospectively add telemetrics for a fee via 'My Alpine' section of the website.
I think this is coming for the UK, however I'm not sure as it has been a while now...
As mentioned an OBD dongle and Smartphone app with added PID data can display a few temperatures, tyre pressures etc...

A few weeks ago I was able to afterbuy the Telemetrics at the German My Alpine Webstore for 1 EUR. I just had to register to the My Alpine Webside and add the VIN. But being honest it is pretty useless, e.g. it's impossible to display engine and gearbox oil temperature at one screen, just engine oil and clutch temp... and that's pretty much it. You might be happier with an OBD2 dongle and an app like Car Scanner or OBD Fusion. Or even an additional display like that here:
