Used to enjoy that back in the day. Mainly because I fancied Rebecca the bar manager.

Just thought he deserved a mention. George Wendt passed on yesterday at 73.

He was 34 when it started. Ted Danson was 35, Cliff Ratzenberger also. Amazing how old they look. Channel 4 have it on rotation - 4 episodes or so a day and they just start from the beginning as soon as it gets to the last episode. Same as Frasier,

Norm: Boy it's cold out there.
Woody: Hey Mr P, Jack Frost nipping at your toes?
Norm: Yeah, now let's get Joe Beer nipping at my liver.

A great way to start the day. I have it on in the background most mornings getting ready for work. Simple, gentle humour even ifit's a little dated now.

Rebecca wasn't a patch on Shelley Long ('Diane') who was previously Sam's love interest.

Sad to hear of Norm's passing. I was just watching a random episode on C4 a few weeks back whilst in a car dealer's waiting for a service to be completed. Great show, nothing really like that on TV now with respect to sitcom with a a bit of drama.

I've been watching this occasionally too , I didn't know or perhaps forgot , but Frasier was introduced to Cheers as a boy friend of Diane's and then became a regular bar user .

Oh, that's sad news about George! I loved his character in Cheers!

I loved watching Cheers. I know both were on years ago, but I didn't see them then. I think it's much better than Frasier. To be honest I don't know why Frasier ever had a spin off show. After seeing him in Cheers I wouldn't have expected it. I liked it but some of it wasn't great and I will always skip those bits out if I re-watch it. I hated Mel, and Daphne's family.

I know that there was also another spin off show called The Tortelli's about Nick & his wife. I've never seen that though, but you'd have thought it would have been about Carla and all of her children!

Coach was brilliant. Nick Colasanto who played him was a serious actor and director, played a right nasty fella brilliantly in Raging Bull believe it or not. Woody Harrelson was brilliant as his successor, he is a brilliant answer. Wendt and John Ratzenberger were also both very good actors. Looking back, what a cast. Danson, Long, Alley, Kelsey Grammer. Even the theme always feels like a comforting mug of sweet tea to me. Truly a great show
