As a follow on form a recent thread on out door TV aeriels:

I have a PC TV card which I am trying to tune using one of those amplified indoor TV aeriel (about £20 from argos). However, I am only able to get a signal for bbc2 and a poor signal on ITV. My hall mates have got normal tv sets and are getting good signals on all channels with a simple wire loop aeriel.

Is my fancy indoor amplified aeriel duff, or is it something to do with the PC TV card?

Not a great help to you but I have a digital tv card with digital capable tv ariel and the picture i get is crystal clear. I have mine in my bedroom on the top floor of our house so the signal is pretty good. Maybe its not a fault with your arial and rather crappy area to get signal. or you may have a duff tv card!

You might just be tuned into the wrong transmitter.
Try a rescan. Sorry if you've already tried this.
