Jim Clark Rally 2025
Discussion
Plenty of information here: https://jimclarkrally.co.uk/spectators/
Friday evening/ Saturday is the main rally with the Reivers on the Sunday.
One of my favourite rallies, but can't really say where is the best place to spectate as I have never spectated on the event. Have always been a marshal or an official.

The main advice for first time spectators on Jim Clark is to go to publicly-advertised areas, follow all instructions and don't try to short cut via backroads (because many are closed and not always easy to find out).
Take clothes for all weathers, inc sun cream and plenty of snacks / drinks. And camping chairs. There's usually an hour or more wait till the second run. If your son is young, don't expect him to want to stay for all the cars.
If you can, get to Duns town centre for one of the ceremonial bits, it's nice ti see the cars and crews close up. Especially for kids.
I have competed on the Jim Clark many times, including the first ever closed road one in 97 and in fact my last stage rally was last years Jim Clark Reivers. It's probably one of the best rallies in the country so have a great time.

I'll echo what others have suggested - for a first time stick to the designated spectator areas.
Friday evening viewing: Langton watersplash probably not as spectacular as usual due to the dry weather. The spectator bit at Fogo looks alright.
Saturday viewing looks a bit more limited: either Langton or Leitholm.
If you're sticking it out till Sunday then all areas I think are quite good.
Bear in mind the Friday+Saturday are British championship, the Sunday is Scottish championship and so you'll see mainly different crews on the Sunday to what has gone before.
It's a bit of a fickly event for me as competitor - had quite a few goes at it and very much a mixed bag of results. Car 24 on Sunday.

Motorsport is dangerous but Jaffa CB and Dai were closely knit and now gone , all in separate accidents, takes a while to sink in . Sincerest condolences to family and his many friends.
It's a tragic story; Dai sat with Craig Breen on the Nicky Grist Stages shortly after the Targa Florio accident......To know that they've all gone is hard to take in.Gassing Station | Rallying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
