Good morning,
Looking to move into a gt4 and really like it in red hence the title. I’ve read a few of the threads on here and watched a few videos but there’s nothing quite like a community of likeminded souls.
Had a few nice cars and currently enjoying a 14 plate Aston Vantage and fancy a change. Test drive a 718 gt4 and loved it but it was a wee bit of a stretch couple of years ago. So …found couple of red 981s and grateful for your thoughts …be kind ?!?
One is with Porsche main dealer is a club sport, went to have a wee look yesterday and looks immaculate - has ceramics and 918 seats which look fantastic. Not so bothered about the roll cage to be honest. The other has “normal” seats and quite far away from me but with great dealer.
Thoughts ??

Audio can be resolved quite easily IF you want to listen to music(?)
But sport chrono I'd want
918 LWB's with a front riser
and whilst it has nothing to do with driving the thing, I personally love a more visually interesting interior with some/any kind of deviated stitching, it just lifts it.

Thank for taking the time to give insight …the stitching was quite an eye opener …as it makes you think of other things such as Alcantara v leather …and also climate control is a real world need …well in my world it is anyway.
And buckets …wow how much on the internet for one ?!?
Thanks again

Looks like the first one has gone now anyway, with the comforts.
I can speak for a 981 GTS and a 718 GT4, GTS had climate the GT4 doesn't, is it a biggy... no, nice to have sure but it's not night and day, likewise GTS had Bose GT4 doesn't, but the cabin noise is much increased in the GT4 so probably wouldn't miss it anyway, IMO the Bose isn't that good in reality.

I hear/read that a lot... to my (53 yr old) ears, it's pretty decent, not sure what I'm missing, but with an old fashioned CD in the multi changer (is it the 90's?!) I really enjoy it.... but then roof off I've probably got it on perhaps a 3rd of the time...I upgraded it to carplay and bluetoothing stuff is only marginally less good...
I’ve had 4 different 718 GT variants now, think I have a problem!
First was a 2020 GT4 manual I specd from new in Red with buckets and no chrono or Bose. Can’t say I ever missed either of them in all honesty.
Was a great car, daily drove it and did 7K miles in about a year, never missed a beat and got nothing but positive comments inc re the colour. Only real observation was the much maligned gear ratios - just means stirring the box that bit more to lower than “usual” gears while over taking.

Here's my old highly specified GT4. I got a bit carried away with the leather, alcantara and red stitching.
