Sébastien Loeb Defies FIA Threat
Discussion
Sorry, I'm not a follower of Rallying, but this popped up in my news. The FIA are apparently trying to ban Loeb from the Rally Portugal.
What the hell is this all about? Mohammed Ben Sulayem trying to flex his muscle again and prevent anyone from contradicting him?
I've read about the latest dealings regarding the FIA President, dubious rule changes and key figures being barred from meetings. Robert Reid, the FIA's deputy president for sport, and David Richards, the UK's representative, were among those denied access after refusing to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
All very dodgy

Ha ok. I've been seeing lots of nonsense rally stories on Facebook recently, to the point where I'm blocking any profile sharing them.
It's the same on FB with F1 and military aircraft. Their damned algorithm spots what you like and feeds more of the same, but unfortunately mostly clickbait rubbish; I block them but more new ones keep cropping up all the time

Yep, I can believe it. I can almost tolerate the ones that are clickbait, but with an actual story that (vaguely) matches the description there but the ones that are just outright made up get a block. The best rule is to never click on a page that you aren't following I think...
Of course, having said all this the Loeb story will turn out to be true!

The bit about David Richards and dubious rule changes has been well reported, so with the various other dealings of MBS nothing would surprise me.Of course, having said all this the Loeb story will turn out to be true!
