Just had notification from Porsche that my Safety and Security portion of connect services is about to expire ( after 4 years). The cost to renew is £253 for 1 year. Add to this the circa £250 payable to Vodafone makes an annual fee of over £500 for a tracking system. I am glad I changed my insurer this year to one that does not require a tracker (718 Spyder).

I had no idea that the Porsche Service expired after 4 years!

Broadly a waste of time easily bypassed and way too expensive.

Most insurers who do no require tracker as a condition of the policy hike the premium anyway with tracker active which speaks volumes as to its effectiveness.

Yes But you still need to pay Vodafone as well as I understand it - I was billed directly by Vodafone for the last three years
