Identify another plant, please…

These little things have appeared in my raised alpine beds after I re-did them a few months ago. I put in some new compost so they may have been lurking in that? I’ve never seen them before in the previous 15 years or so: not sure if I like them or not!

I'd say Chickweed. Edible, but check that's what you have before committing.

Do you have any closeups. Could be a few things, stonecrop also springs to mind. Some closeup pics showing in more detail would be good along with any possible buds/flowers, stems and leaf pattern would help

Purslane a good call, my neighbour suggested it too but a little Googling says it should have a clear latex not white, my looks to be white.

Yes, I read about the latex Googling purslane lead me onto spurge, which does have the white latex but the plant is more like purslane in other regards, never straightforward is it

The sap you're thinking of is more likely spurge (Euphorbia), a different family.
